Job Summary

We are seeking a motivated and skilled Heavy Equipment Operator to join our agile team. In this role, you will be responsible for operating a variety of heavy machinery to support construction, transportation, and logistical operations. Your expertise will ensure safe, efficient, and precise handling of equipment while maintaining a high standard of safety and operational excellence.

Responsibilities

- Operate heavy equipment such as loaders, with precision and safety awareness.
- Conduct routine inspections and maintenance checks on machinery to ensure optimal performance and safety compliance.
- Load and unload freight using loaders and other heavy equipment, ensuring proper handling and secure placement.
- Assist with site preparation, grading, excavation, and material movement to support construction or logistical projects.
- Follow all safety protocols, including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and adherence to OSHA standards.
- Collaborate with team members to coordinate equipment usage efficiently across multiple tasks or project phases.




- Maintain detailed logs of equipment operation, maintenance activities, and freight movements for record-keeping purposes.

Skills

- Proven experience operating heavy machinery such as excavators, bulldozers, loaders.
- Knowledge of freight handling procedures and safe loading/unloading techniques.
- Ability to perform basic automotive repairs or troubleshoot mechanical issues on equipment.
- Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) or equivalent license preferred for transporting equipment or materials.
- Strong understanding of safety regulations related to heavy equipment operation and freight handling.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team environment.
