We are currently looking for an experienced and safety-conscious HIAB / Crane Truck Driver to join our team.

This is an excellent opportunity for a reliable driver who enjoys working in the construction industry, operating equipment, and being part of a hardworking team.

Our work yard is located in Port Coquitlam, BC.

The Role

As a HIAB / Crane Truck Driver, you will be responsible for safely transporting and delivering construction materials to commercial job sites throughout the Lower Mainland.

You will operate a truck-mounted hydraulic crane to load, unload, and place materials safely and efficiently while working closely with our site crews and dispatch/management team.

You will coordinate daily deliveries directly with our Operations Manager and will need to be able to load your own truck with a forklift. You will be picking up and delivering masonry and siding materials, scaffolding/hydro scaffolding, general construction equipment and machinery (forklifts, telehandlers, boom lifts).

The majority of deliveries will be unloaded by our crews on each site.

Key Responsibilities

● Safely operate a HIAB / truck-mounted hydraulic crane

● Transport construction materials and equipment to various job sites

● Load, secure, transport, unload, and place materials using the truck crane

● Assess job-site conditions before and during crane operations

● Safely position the truck and crane for deliveries

● Follow all applicable WorkSafeBC, highway, and workplace safety requirements





● Complete daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections

● Ensure loads are properly secured during transportation

● Maintain accurate delivery records, logs, and documentation

● Communicate effectively with project managers, site supervisors, dispatch, and customers

● Coordinate deliveries with job-site personnel

● Report vehicle, crane, or equipment maintenance issues promptly

● Maintain a clean and organized truck and equipment

● Represent Cronus Masonry & Exteriors professionally when interacting with customers and job-site personnel

● Perform other driving, delivery, and construction-related duties as required

Qualifications

● Valid Class 1 BC driver's license

● Experience operating a HIAB or truck-mounted hydraulic crane

● Appropriate crane/HIAB certification or training as required

● Clean or acceptable driving record

● Previous experience in construction, building materials, masonry, or exterior construction is an asset

● Strong understanding of load securement and safe material handling

● Ability to assess job-site conditions and identify potential hazards

● Good knowledge of road and workplace safety procedures

● Comfortable operating remote-control crane systems

● Strong communication and organizational skills

● Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently

● Professional attitude and good customer-service skills

Physical & Working Requirements





● Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions

● Comfortable working around active construction sites

● Ability to climb in and out of trucks and work around equipment

● Ability to lift and handle materials as required with the crane and forklift

● Ability to work extended shifts when necessary

● Willingness to work occasional overtime

● Must be comfortable working around construction equipment, materials, and uneven job-site conditions
