Growth Generation Academy (GGA) is seeking an experienced high school English teacher to provide online one-on-one tutoring for students in Grades 11–12.

We are particularly interested in teachers with current or recent experience teaching Ontario senior-level English courses, including ENG3U and ENG4U.

The ideal candidate has solid experience in academic essay writing, literary analysis, critical reading, and responding to school assignments and teacher feedback.

Qualifications

- Current or former Ontario secondary school English teacher preferred
- Ontario Certified Teacher (OCT) strongly preferred
- Direct experience teaching Grade 11–12 English / ENG3U / ENG4U
- Strong background in essay writing, literary analysis, and academic writing
- Able to help students understand assignment expectations, rubrics, and teacher feedback




- Comfortable providing individualized one-on-one instruction online
- Reliable and responsive communication
- Long-term availability preferred

About the Position

This position focuses primarily on one-on-one high school English tutoring. Instruction is individualized based on each student’s schoolwork, learning needs, and academic goals.

This is a freelance independent contractor position. Teaching hours depend on student enrolment, scheduling, and teacher-student fit and are not guaranteed.

Pay: $25.00-$40.00 per hour

Expected hours: 1.0 – 5.0 per week
