Early Childhood Educator - Come Find Your People We think great childcare starts with great educators. (Posted wage is before $6 wage enhancement)

If you’ve been scrolling through childcare job ads that all start to sound the same, we get it.

So here’s ours

We’re looking for an Early Childhood Educator who genuinely loves what they do - someone who wants to be part of a team that cares deeply about children and about the people who spend their days caring for them.

We’re a little different here.

We’re a team of hardworking, empathetic educators who believe that a beautiful environment matters, but the people inside it matter even more. Our centre is state-of-the-art, thoughtfully designed, and incredibly well-appointed - but what we’re most proud of is the culture we’ve created within it.

We want educators to feel welcomed when they walk through the door, supported when the day gets challenging, appreciated for the work they do, and proud of the place they work.

Our leadership is grounded in both business knowledge and real early childhood experience, which means we care about doing things well - from the way our classrooms operate to the way our educators are supported. We believe good leadership in childcare should never lose sight of what actually happens on the floor with children. Decisions are made with children, educators, and families at the forefront.

And yes, we believe you should actually enjoy coming to work.

What You'll Be Doing

As an educator on our team, you'll help create the kind of early childhood experience children remember for all the right reasons.

You will

- Create engaging, age-appropriate experiences that encourage children to explore, experiment, create, question, and discover.
- Build warm, trusting relationships with children and create a classroom where every child feels seen, valued, and capable.
- Support children's social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development through intentional play and everyday learning moments.
- Observe, document, and celebrate developmental milestones, interests, emerging skills, and the wonderfully unique personalities of the children in your care.
- Build genuine partnerships with families through open, respectful, and positive communication.
- Work collaboratively with your fellow educators to plan activities, share ideas, solve problems, and create a consistent experience for children.
- Support children with different learning styles, abilities, personalities, and developmental needs.
- Help children develop confidence, independence, curiosity, problem-solving skills, and a love of learning.
- Guide daily routines such as meals, rest,

transitions, toileting, outdoor play, and all those little moments that make up a child's day.
- Maintain an organized, welcoming, safe, and engaging classroom environment.
- Complete required documentation and follow health, safety, licensing, and centre policies.
- Use iPads and technology comfortably for documentation, communication, and educational purposes.
- Continue learning and growing through professional development and collaboration with your team.

What Makes Us Different?

We know that "competitive wages" and "great team environment" appear in almost every job posting.

So instead, here are a few things we're genuinely proud of:

A beautiful, state-of-the-art environment

You’ll work in a modern, thoughtfully designed childcare facility created with both children and educators in mind.

We believe your workplace should be a place you actually enjoy being in.

A unique kindergarten partnership

We are proud to be the first daycare to offer a kindergarten program through our partnership with Brookes Westshore.

That means our centre offers an exciting opportunity to be part of an early learning environment that extends beyond traditional daycare programming.

A wage that recognizes your work

We believe educators deserve to be compensated fairly for the significant work they do.

More time off than the standard vacation package

Because burnout isn't good for educators, children, or anyone else.

Our vacation package includes

- 2 weeks of paid vacation per year (4% accrued)
- + 2 additional weeks of bonus paid vacation
- And after 5 years with us, your total vacation entitlement grows to 5 weeks!

We want you to have time to rest, travel, spend time with your people, and come back feeling like yourself.

A team that actually feels like a team

We’re intentional about creating a workplace where educators feel comfortable asking questions, sharing ideas, trying new things, and supporting one another.

We don't expect you to know everything.

We expect you to care, communicate, learn, and show up for your team.

What We're Looking For

You don't need to be the loudest person in the room or have every answer.

We’re looking for someone who is:

- An ECE,

or ITE/SNE with a genuine passion for early learning.
- Experienced working with children in a childcare, preschool, or educational setting.
- Ideally bringing 6 months–1 year or more of local experience, although we’re interested in the right person rather than simply counting months on a résumé, we'll for sure hire the right recent grad.
- Knowledgeable about early childhood development and developmentally appropriate practice.
- Warm, patient, dependable, and genuinely interested in children.
- A strong communicator who can build positive relationships with children, families, and colleagues.
- Organized and capable of balancing classroom responsibilities, documentation, routines, and spontaneous toddler/preschooler moments.
- Comfortable using an iPad and basic technology.
- Confident making decisions, taking initiative, and contributing ideas.
- Able to work collaboratively while also taking ownership of your classroom responsibilities.
- Comfortable supporting children with a range of abilities, personalities, learning styles, and developmental needs.
- A strong written communicator who can document observations and children's progress thoughtfully.
- Passion for play-based, inquiry inspired learning.

Most importantly, we’re looking for someone who believes children deserve educators who are present, curious, encouraging, playful, respectful, and genuinely invested in who they are becoming.

The Person We're Hoping to Meet

Maybe you're the educator who gets excited when a child finally masters something they've been working toward.

Maybe you're the one who notices the quiet child who hasn't joined the group yet.

Maybe you love messy art, outdoor adventures, dramatic play, story time, and the wonderfully unpredictable conversations that happen when you're working with little humans.

Maybe you want to work somewhere that sees you as more than a staffing number.

If that sounds like you, we'd love to meet you.

Come join a centre where we take early childhood education seriously while still remembering that work should be meaningful, collaborative, and fun.

We’re not looking for just another educator. We’re looking for the next person who belongs on our team.

We are not able to provide additional LMIA nor PNP support.
