Job Summary

We are looking for someone who is confident teaching Grade 9–12 Mathematics, with strong knowledge of Advanced Functions and Calculus.

Responsibilities: Provide one-on-one and small-group tutoring to High School students. Teach and explain mathematical concepts clearly and patiently. Support students with homework, assignments, tests and exam preparation. Identify areas of difficulty and help students build strong mathematical foundations. Prepare students for Advanced Functions and Calculus. Track student progress and communicate relevant feedback. Create a positive and encouraging learning environment

Responsibilities

- Strong knowledge of Ontario High School Mathematics. Ability to confidently teach Advanced Functions and Calculus. Previous tutoring or teaching experience is preferred. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Patient, reliable and professional. Ability to work independently. A university degree or current university studies in Mathematics, Engineering, Science,



Education, or a related field is an asset.

Experience

- Prior experience tutoring high school students in mathematics, particularly in Advanced Functions and Calculus.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively with children or teenagers in an educational setting.
- Strong classroom experience or background in teaching math at the secondary level is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with special education strategies to support diverse learning needs is a plus.
- Proficiency in computer science or related technical skills to utilize digital tools for instruction.
- Excellent communication skills combined with patience, adaptability, and enthusiasm for teaching complex subjects.

Pay: $21.00-$25.00 per hour Expected hours: 5.0 – 15.0 per week
