The company’s core technology platform is its in-house developed mammalian cell-based recombinant expression system, which utilizes proprietary reagents and processes for the highly efficient production of antigens and antibodies. SignalChem is now expanding its capabilities and creating multiple new positions.

SignalChem Biotech Inc. is seeking a highly motivated, detail-oriented, and proactive HR Manager to lead and oversee the company’s human resources functions. The HR Manager will play a key role in developing and implementing HR strategies, ensuring compliance, supporting employee and organizational needs, and partnering with leadership to foster a positive and effective workplace.

Key Responsibilities

- Identify company HR needs and implement strategies, including developing HR policies and procedures to ensure compliance and align with organizational objectives.
- Ensure compliance with labor laws, company policies, and regulations, managing employee leave and attendance records.
- Provide guidance and support to managers and employees on employee relations matters, conflict resolution, and HR best practices.
- Collaborate with leadership to develop workforce planning strategies, including talent development, succession planning,



and organizational structure optimization to support long-term business goals.
- Lead recruitment efforts and onboarding processes, including creating onboarding materials to support smooth employee integration.
- Oversee employee evaluations by developing and implementing performance review processes to support professional growth and organizational alignment.
- Manage offboarding processes, including terminations, exit interviews, and ensuring compliance with labor laws and company policies.
- Manage HR correspondence, benefits administration, and HR databases with accuracy and confidentiality while serving as a point of contact for employees.
- Spearhead employee engagement initiatives to foster a positive workplace culture and high employee satisfaction.
- Analyze HR metrics and reports to identify trends, provide insights to leadership, and support data-driven decision-making.

Qualifications

- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of progressive HR experience, with experience independently managing or overseeing multiple HR functions.
- Strong knowledge of HR practices, employment standards, and workplace compliance.
- CPHR designation or progress toward CPHR designation is preferred.
- Experience with HR software and tools, such as ADP, Slack, or similar platforms.
- Strong organizational, analytical, and multitasking skills with the ability to manage competing priorities.




- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and relationship-building skills.
- Demonstrated ability to exercise sound judgment, maintain confidentiality, and handle sensitive employee matters professionally.
- Ability to work independently and partner effectively with employees, managers, and leadership.

Preferred Skills

- Experience coordinating recruitment and onboarding processes.
- Experience supporting employee relations, performance management, and HR initiatives.
- Experience working in the life sciences, biotechnology, pharmaceutical, or related industry is preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite or similar productivity tools.
- Strong problem-solving skills with a customer-service mindset.
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism.
