IMPACT AMBASSADOR, CCP (Intern)

Toronto / Six-Month Internship

This role involves remote/work-from-home arrangements with a requirement for a minimum of two (2) days per week working onsite and may be subject to change as the organization works through its hybrid workforce plan and/or changing needs of the Foundation. ABOUT CAMH FOUNDATION

Hi! I’m Erin Boyd, Manager, Community Partnerships. I’ve had the privilege of working at CAMH Foundation for the past three years and have been part of some incredible growth during that time. This Fall/Winter, we’re looking for a passionate, driven post-secondary student or recent graduate to join our team as an Impact Ambassador, CCP. The Centre for Addiction and Mental Health (CAMH) is Canada’s largest mental health teaching hospital and one of the world’s leading research centres in its field. With a dedicated staff of more than 5,000 physicians, clinicians, researchers, educators, and support staff, CAMH offers outstanding clinical care to more than 38,000 patients each year. The organization conducts ground-breaking research, provides expert training to healthcare professionals and scientists, develops innovative health promotion and prevention strategies, and advocates on public policy issues at all levels of government.

CAMH Foundation is charged with raising and stewarding funds in support of CAMH. Its role is to help transform the way we understand and address mental illness by raising awareness and increasing engagement across the country. The Corporate and Community Partnerships team is responsible for engaging corporate Canada and community groups in a meaningful way that results in long-term and sustainable partnerships that help the Foundation reach its fundraising, awareness, and impact goals. THE OPPORTUNITY:

The Impact Ambassador, Community & Corporate Partnerships (CCP), plays a key supporting role in advancing fundraising and engagement initiatives that drive impact for mental health at CAMH.



As part of a dynamic and purpose-driven team, this role contributes to the success of community-led and corporate fundraising efforts by providing administrative, operational, and event support.

Working closely with internal teams and external partners, the Impact Ambassador helps cultivate meaningful relationships with individuals, community groups, and organizations who fundraise in creative and personal ways—such as third-party events, DIY campaigns, and corporate initiatives. This role offers a hands-on opportunity to build experience in healthcare philanthropy, donor engagement, and event coordination, while contributing to a mission that transforms lives.

Salary Range: $20.00 to $23.00 per hour

Responsibilities

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Community & Partner Engagement

- Assist in coordinating partner touchpoints, including thank-you packages, certificates, and cheque presentations.
- Represent CAMH at community fundraising events as an ambassador, strengthening relationships and enhancing the donor experience.
- Deliver brief remarks or presentations at community events and partner engagements, sharing CAMH’s mission and impact.

Fundraising & Event Support

- Prepare and distribute event materials, including support letters, toolkits, and branded supplies.
- Maintain and track a calendar of upcoming fundraising events and engagement opportunities.
- Support on-site event execution as needed (e.g., registration, donor interaction, event setup).
- Prepare speaking notes, impact stories,



and presentation materials to support event participation.

Operations & Administration

- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records in Raiser’s Edge.
- Manage the inventory, storage, and distribution of CAMH-branded swag and event materials.
- Assemble and fulfill supply kits for community partners and events.
- Provide general administrative support to the team, ensuring materials and resources are organized and accessible

Qualifications

WHAT YOU’LL BRING TO THE TEAM

- Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a college or university program, preferably in nonprofit management, event management, communications, fundraising, or a related field.
- Demonstrated interest in nonprofit work, healthcare philanthropy, mental health, fundraising, events, or community and corporate engagement.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with confidence speaking and presenting at community events, cheque presentations, and partner engagements.
- Professional, personable, and comfortable representing CAMH Foundation with donors, fundraisers, community groups, and corporate partners.
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
- Comfortable supporting event logistics, preparing materials, tracking event details, coordinating supplies, and managing CAMH-branded swag and event inventory.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Experience with design tools such as Canva, fundraising platforms such as Fundraisin, or donor databases such as Raiser’s Edge is considered an asset.
- Passion for mental health, nonprofit work, fundraising, and community engagement.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
- Flexible and available to occasionally work evenings or weekends to support community and partner events.
