Job Summary

We are seeking a passionate and energetic East Indian Cook to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing authentic Indian dishes curry and/or tandoor items with precision and flair, ensuring each plate meets our high standards of quality and presentation. Duties

- Prepare and cook a variety of Indian dishes according to established recipes and standards
- Ensure all ingredients are fresh, properly stored, and handled in accordance with food safety guidelines
- Assist in food prep tasks such as chopping, marinating, and measuring ingredients for efficient service
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including equipment and workstations
- Follow proper food handling procedures to prevent cross-contamination and ensure health regulations compliance
- Support meal assembly during busy service times, ensuring timely delivery of dishes




- Collaborate with team members to uphold high standards of food quality and presentation

Requirements

- Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, or food service within a restaurant or food industry setting
- Knowledge of Indian cuisine, including curry and tandoor items
- Strong understanding of food safety practices and proper kitchen hygiene
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent serving skills with a friendly attitude towards customers and team members
- Previous restaurant experience involving meal preparation and food handling is essential
- Flexibility to work varied shifts including evenings, weekends, and holidays
