Job Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and skilled Industrial Mechanic/Machinist to join our industrial maintenance and machining team. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining, repairing, and troubleshooting complex machinery and equipment to ensure optimal operational efficiency. Your expertise will help uphold safety standards, improve equipment performance, and support continuous production processes.

This position offers an exciting opportunity to apply your mechanical and machinist knowledge in a fast-paced industrial environment, contributing to the success of our upcoming projects between Burnaby, BC -- Squamish, BC, -- and Calgary, AB.

Duties

- Perform tear down and rebuild of large processing equipment
- Read and interpret schematics, technical manuals, and control diagrams to diagnose issues accurately
- Operate welding equipment and perform fabrication tasks to repair or modify machinery components as needed
- Collaborate with electrical and mechanical teams to execute complex repairs and upgrades efficiently
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and environmental regulations during all maintenance activities
- Aid in in-situ machining projects (so machining experience would be an asset)

Requirements





- Proven experience in industrial maintenance or as a machinist within manufacturing environments
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to read schematics and technical drawings
- Ability to analyze mechanical and electrical issues quickly and develop effective solutions
- Excellent communication skills in English for transparent documentation and teamwork
- Demonstrated customer service orientation when working with internal teams or external vendors
- Relevant certifications or experience in operating forklifts, zoom-boom, cranes, and fall arrest (certification)
- Able to pass a pre-site access drug and alcohol test

We will accept first year apprentices. Pay: From $36.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40.0 – 70.0 per week
