Key Responsibilities

- Apply advanced technical principles, theories, and concepts within the instrumentation and controls discipline, while maintaining a working knowledge of related engineering fields.

- Analyze and resolve a broad range of complex technical challenges with minimal supervision, developing effective and practical engineering solutions.

- Collaborate with clients, vendors, and contractors, and provide support for field activities, investigations, start-up, and commissioning efforts.

- Work closely with Engineers, Designers, and Project Managers from multiple disciplines as an integral member of a team-oriented project delivery team.

- Develop designs, specifications, and technical documentation for instrumentation and control systems, with a strong focus on DCS and PLC-based applications.

- Prepare instrumentation and process control system designs and specifications for a variety of industrial processes.

- Ensure all engineering deliverables and project documentation are accurate, complete, and compliant with COOEC quality assurance and quality control requirements.

Qualifications





- Minimum 8 years of Instrumentation & Controls (I&C;) design experience within the oil and gas industry.

- Proficiency with SPI (SmartPlant Instrumentation) is required.

- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively in a multidisciplinary environment.

- Experience in PLC and DCS system design and implementation.

- Familiarity with electrical equipment and systems, including MCCs, VFDs, and EHT systems.

- Experience with Fire & Gas (F&G;) systems and associated field devices.

- Working knowledge of DeltaV DCS and CHARMS technology.

- Ability to interpret and work with instrumentation layouts, field drawings, and related engineering documentation.

- Experience developing wiring diagrams and loop diagrams.

- Field experience, including turnaround planning, package development, and turnaround execution support, is considered an asset.

- Adhere to company procedures, engineering standards, and established industry best practices.
