Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Insurance Defence Law Clerk to support our legal team. This role involves assisting with drafting documents, managing case files, and providing administrative support to ensure the smooth operation of our legal processes. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3 years of experience handling personal injury and property damage files within the insurance defence sector.

This role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple files in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

- Manage and maintain litigation files from intake to resolution.
- Review and summarize medical records, damage briefs, and other evidence.
- Draft and prepare legal documents, including pleadings, affidavits, and correspondence.
- Communicate with clients, adjusters, experts, witnesses, and opposing counsel.
- Assist lawyers with trial preparation and document production.
- Ensure compliance with court rules and deadlines.

Qualifications





- Proven experience in administrative or clerical roles within a legal setting preferred
- Minimum 3 years of experience as a Law Clerk in insurance defence litigation.
- Strong knowledge of personal injury and property damage claims.
- Law Clerk diploma or equivalent certification
- Proficient in legal software and MS Office Suite.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Robust organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently
- Knowledge of filing procedures and maintaining organized case files
