Introduction

Robertson is seeking a skilled IT - Software Developer IV - Java to join our client in support of an existing vacancy.

Contract Period: 19 months

Pay Rate: Starting from $78 per hour

Location : Toronto, ON

Location Type: Hybrid

Business Hours: Monday-Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM

Job Responsibilities:

- Design, develop, test, and deploy scalable web applications using Java technologies
- Build and maintain both front-end and back-end components of enterprise applications
- Participate in Agile ceremonies, backlog refinement sessions, and sprint activities
- Collaborate with developers, business stakeholders, and project teams to deliver high-quality solutions
- Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code following coding standards and best practices
- Conduct code reviews, debugging, and performance optimization
- Develop and maintain technical documentation, including design, testing, and deployment documents
- Work within SDLC processes and ensure compliance with development standards
- Support application enhancements, maintenance, and production issue resolution
- Contribute to cloud-native and Azure-based development initiatives
- Identify technical gaps and proactively recommend improvements
- Solid experience with Java, J2EE, Spring Boot, Angular, SQL Server (MSSQL)
- Experience with Azure Cloud and cloud-native application development
- Proficiency in GitHub and JIRA
- Strong understanding of software design patterns and coding best practices
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments




- Excellent communication and collaboration skills

Experience & Qualification Requirements:

- Bachelor’s degree in computer science required
- 7–8 years of overall software development experience required
- 5 years of experience applying software design patterns and enterprise development
- Experience working as a Full Stack Developer in large-scale enterprise environments
- Previous banking or financial services experience is preferred
- Java/J2EE
