Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Journeyman/Woman Welder to join our manufacturing and construction team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in various welding techniques and mechanical skills, with the ability to read blueprints and schematics. This role involves fabricating, assembling, and repairing metal components using advanced welding methods, ensuring high-quality standards in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

- Perform SMAW/GMAW/FCAW welding on Carbon and Stainless materials, including structural steel, and custom fabrications.
- Read and interpret detailed blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to guide fabrication processes.
- Operate power tools, hand tools, plasma cutters, press brake machines, and other fabrication equipment safely and efficiently.
- Conduct rigging operations to position heavy materials or equipment accurately.
- Use Layout tools, basic math skills, and schematics to measure and verify dimensions during assembly or fabrication.
- Assist with crane operations for lifting heavy materials or assemblies.




- Maintain a clean work environment adhering to safety protocols and best practices in manufacturing and construction settings.
- Collaborate with team members on assembly projects, ensuring adherence to project specifications and deadlines.

Requirements

- Proven experience as a Journeyman/Woman Welder
- Mechanical knowledge of machinery, tools, and fabrication processes.
- Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings accurately.
- Competent Fitting of platforms, handrail, stairs considered an asset.
- Familiarity with rigging, plasma cutting, press brake machines, and machining operations preferred.
- Experience operating overhead cranes, power tools, hand tools, and other relevant equipment.
- Basic math skills necessary for measurements and calculations during fabrication tasks..
- Strong attention to detail with a focus on safety compliance at all times.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a dynamic workplace. This position is integral to our production process, requiring technical expertise combined with practical skills to deliver quality results efficiently. Pay: $38.00-$42.00 per hour
