- Conduct basic maintenance tasks on vehicles and equipment
- Assist mechanics in major projects
- Keep the area clean and safe
- Wash, clean exterior/interior of vehicles, including removal of snow, ice, and frost;
- Maintain the storage of parts and supplies;
- Assist in cleaning debris from tracking surfaces as needed;
- Assist with housekeeping of the maintenance area to ensure a safe working setting;
- Fuel vehicles and equipment as needed
- Drive or move vehicles and equipment inside the maintenance area
- Successfully maintain equipment, diagnose, repair, rebuild, and maintain equipment in the maintenance environment;
- Safely assemble and disassemble components and equipment according to the manufacturer’s specifications;
- Maintain tool requirements;
- Preparation and cleanliness of equipment
- Utilize a laptop computer for information and diagnostic purposes as needed
- Accurately complete service reports and provide the details to complete work orders;
- Will be required to use repetitive motion, reach, lift, kneel, walk, and stand for several hours at a time.
- Able to work in all elements of an outside environment
MECHANIC HELPER REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS
- Completion of an auto repair program (considered an asset)
- Experience with hand and power tools
- Familiarity with both gasoline and diesel equipment (considered an asset)
Job Types: Full-time, Seasonal Pay: $28.00-$31.50 per hour
