Kitchen Assistant & Packager – Part-Time

Succulent Chocolates & Sweets Inc. is an award-winning artisan chocolate company based in Vaughan, specializing in handcrafted chocolates and confections for the corporate gifting, events, retail and wholesale markets.

We are looking for a reliable, hardworking and detail-oriented Kitchen Assistant & Packager to join our production team as we head into our busiest season.

This is a hands-on role supporting both our chocolate kitchen and packaging department. The ideal candidate works efficiently, takes direction well, has strong attention to detail and is comfortable working in a quick-paced production environment.

Position Details

Part-Time: 2–3 days per week

Hours: Monday–Friday, between 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m.

Location: Woodbridge/Vaughan – Pine Valley Dr. & Hwy 7

Applicants must be available to work during weekday daytime hours and some Saturdays during the month.

Responsibilities

Packaging & Order Preparation

- Package finished chocolates and confections into bags, boxes and gift packaging
- Finish products with ribbons, bows, tags, stickers and other decorative elements
- Assemble chocolate boxes, gift boxes and packaging components
- Ensure products are packaged neatly, accurately and according to company standards
- Assist with preparing and organizing orders for wholesale, corporate and retail customers
- Follow order sheets carefully to ensure correct products, quantities and packaging

Kitchen & Production Support

- Prepare mise en place for daily chocolate production
- Scale and measure ingredients accurately according to recipes
- Prepare ingredients, chocolate molds,



equipment and workstations for production
- Assist the chocolate production team with basic preparation and finishing tasks
- Wash, clean and maintain chocolate molds, equipment, utensils and workstations
- Help maintain a clean, organized and food-safe kitchen environment
- Work collaboratively with the kitchen team to complete daily production efficiently
- Complete other production, packaging and cleaning tasks assigned by the Chef or Production Manager

What We're Looking For
- Strong attention to detail and pride in producing clean, polished work
- Reliable, punctual and able to follow instructions
- Comfortable working with your hands and performing repetitive tasks
- Able to work efficiently while maintaining accuracy
- Organized and able to work both independently and as part of a team
- Comfortable standing for extended periods and working in a commercial kitchen environment
- Previous experience in food production, baking, pastry, catering, packaging or a commercial kitchen is an asset, but not required

Please note: This position involves a combination of kitchen preparation, cleaning and detailed packaging. Candidates should be comfortable performing all aspects of the role. Pay: From $17.95 per hour

Expected hours: 16.0 – 30.0 per week
