Kitchen Helper / Tandoor Helper Indian Restaurant - BRAR’S

We are looking for a reliable and hardworking Kitchen Helper / Tandoor Helper to join our Indian restaurant team.

The ideal candidate should have experience working in an Indian restaurant kitchen or be familiar with Indian food preparation and tandoor operations.

Responsibilities

- Assist the chef and tandoor cook with daily food preparation
- Help prepare ingredients for Indian dishes
- Assist with tandoor preparation and cooking
- Prepare vegetables, sauces, marinades, naan and other kitchen items as required
- Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen, equipment and workstations
- Wash and organize kitchen utensils and equipment
- Follow food safety and hygiene procedures
- Help with receiving and storing food supplies
- Support the kitchen team during busy service hours

Requirements




- Experience in an Indian restaurant kitchen is preferred
- Tandoor experience is an asset
- Familiarity with Indian food, spices and cooking methods is preferred
- Able to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment
- Able to stand for extended periods and perform physical kitchen duties
- Reliable, punctual and hardworking
- Must be legally eligible to work in Canada
- Flexible availability, including evenings and weekends

Compensation $18.60 per hour
