Become a Knowledge Mobilization Caseworker with the John Howard Society of Ottawa, providing essential support in Eastern Ontario. Deliver tailored programs aimed at reducing violence through education, research, and individualized case management. In this mobile role, you will engage with individuals and families affected by violence.
Your work will involve intensive case management in community settings, particularly with at-risk and justice-involved youth and adults. Prioritize developing educational programming and support services that empower diverse populations and enhance community connections. Key Responsibilities:
- Provide responsive case management in community and institutional settings
- Research and develop training for community partners and professionals
- Engage participants and families in forming strategic interventions
- Travel throughout Eastern Ontario to support program goals
- Implement person-centered approaches to enhance protective factors Requirements:
- Degree in social sciences or relevant lived experience
- At least two years of direct intervention experience
- Knowledge of mental health, justice involvement, and substance use
- Clearance for working with vulnerable populations
