Join the City of Abbotsford as a Laboratory Technician within the Engineering & Regional Utilities division. Contribute to environmental compliance by performing complex analyses on water and waste samples. In this full time position, you will conduct both routine and complex laboratory testing as part of a dedicated team.

This role emphasizes adherence to Quality Assurance and Quality Control protocols while preparing calculations, reports, and verifying results. Strong analytical skills and attention to detail are essential for success in maintaining testing accuracy and ensuring compliance with environmental standards. Key Responsibilities:

- Conduct chemical and bacteriological analyses of samples
- Prepare and verify standards and reagents for testing




- Interpret and communicate analytical results to supervisors
- Maintain laboratory equipment and calibration protocols
- Participate in proficiency testing and quality assurance programs Requirements:
- Diploma of Technology in Chemistry or related field
- Minimum three years of laboratory experience
- Valid Class 5 BC Driver's Licence
