About the organization:

Over55 is a London-based nonprofit that has been operating in London for 40 years. We support tradespeople over 55 years old in starting their own businesses. Our current roster includes handymen, lawn care technicians, hair dressers, painters, and more! All of our associates are independent contractors.

We act as a referral system, connecting members of the community with these independent contractors. The client-base with whom we connect our associates are largely seniors looking for a hand in maintaining their homes.

The Role:

We are seeking landscape technician to take on some seasonal property maintenance throughout the fall and/or winter:

- Raking, bagging, and removing leaves

-Cutting back perennials

- Clearing snow and ice from clients' driveways and walkways
- Using snow plow trucks, shovels, snowblowers, or other relevant tools.

As an independent contractor, you will be responsible for the bulk of the client-facing communication for each assignment. You will provide a quote for each client based on the work they request, and will complete the work in a timely and professional manner.

As a referral service,



we are unfortunately unable to provide the equipment for these jobs. You'll be limited either to your own tools or to those that clients are able to provide.

You will be responsible for the maintenance of your financial records and will provide invoices to Over55's staff on a monthly basis.

Much of the communication between our office staff and our associates is conducted virtually. We are seeking candidates who are comfortable communicating via text and email, sending photos of completed work, as well as sending and accepting etransfers.

Requirements

- Must be 55 years old or older
- Commercial General Liability (CGL) insurance with a minimum of $2 Million in coverage
- Clean vulnerable sector police report
- 3 references
