The Opportunity Dilawri
Group in Ontario is activelyseeking a Licensed Automotive Technician to join the opening team atKia Vaughan.
Pay Range: $36.00–$40.00 flat rate per hour, based on experience and qualifications. Reporting to the Service Manager, the LicensedAutomotive Service Technician will diagnose, service, and repair customervehicles in accordance with manufacturer specifications and dealership qualitystandards. The successful candidate will demonstrate strong technicalknowledge, attention to detail, and a commitment to completing repairs safely,accurately, and efficiently.
Responsibilities - Performvehicle maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs in accordance withmanufacturer specifications, dealership procedures, and industrystandards.
- Conductthorough vehicle inspections to identify mechanical, electrical,
safety,and maintenance concerns.
- Usediagnostic tools and equipment to accurately identify and resolve complexvehicle issues.
- Reviewrepair orders and complete all assigned work accurately and withinestablished timelines.
- Examinevehicles to determine whether additional safety, maintenance, or repairwork is required.
- Clearlydocument inspection findings, diagnostic results, completed repairs, andrecommended work.
- Communicaterepair recommendations and technical information to Service Advisors.
- Confirmwarranty eligibility and authorization requirements before performingwarranty repairs.
- Completewarranty repairs in accordance with manufacturer policies anddocumentation requirements.
- Performroad tests safely and when authorized to confirm concerns and verifycompleted repairs.
- Properlyidentify, tag, and store replaced parts for warranty claims or customerrequests.
- Maintaincurrent knowledge of Kia vehicles, diagnostic procedures, technicalservice bulletins, recalls, and emerging automotive technology.
- Completerequired manufacturer and dealership training.
- Maintainand properly care for tools, equipment, work bays, and customer vehicles.
- Keepassigned work areas clean, organized, and safe.
- Followall workplace health and safety requirements and immediately report unsafeconditions.
- Assistand mentor apprentices when required.
- Workcollaboratively with Service Advisors, Parts Advisors, and othertechnicians to support an efficient workflow.
- Performother duties required to support Service Department operations.
Qualifications - ValidOntario Automotive Service Technician Certificate of Qualification—310S.
- Minimumof three years of experience as a licensed technician in a fast-pacedautomotive environment is preferred.
- Previousdealership experience is considered an asset.
- Kiaor other manufacturer-specific training and experience are consideredassets.
- Strongtechnical knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and electronic vehiclesystems.
- Proficiencyin using modern diagnostic tools and repair equipment.
- Knowledgeof current automotive technology, diagnostic procedures, and repairtechniques.
- Excellentattention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
- Strongdiagnostic, troubleshooting, and problem-solving abilities.
- Effectiveorganizational and time-management skills.
- Abilityto complete work efficiently while maintaining safety and qualitystandards.
- Strongcommunication and teamwork skills.
- Positiveattitude and willingness to participate in ongoing training.
- ValidOntario driver’s licence with at least three years of licensed drivingexperience and a clean driver’s abstract.
- Abilityto perform the physical requirements of the position, including standing,bending, reaching, and lifting.
- Mustprovide and maintain the tools required for the position.
