Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Line/Prep Cook to join our kitchen team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food and a strong foundation in the culinary arts. As a Line/Prep Cook, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that our kitchen operates efficiently and that our dishes are prepared to the highest standards. This position requires teamwork, speed, attention to detail, and a commitment to delivering exceptional dining experiences.
Duties
- Work in all positions of the line, learning to make, plate, and dress all dishes.
- Follow recipes and portion control guidelines to ensure consistency in food quality.
- Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the kitchen workspace, including proper food storage practices.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely meal service.
- Adhere to all food safety regulations and standards during food handling and preparation.
- Work in a high-skill, fast-paced, team-based workplace.
- Utilize culinary skills effectively for various food preparations.
Experience
- Background in menu planning, food preparation, cooking, and food service required.
- Experience in the restaurant or culinary industry is beneficial.
- Familiarity with food handling practices and safety regulations is essential.
- Strength from previous experience in a Line-Based kitchen environment
- Food Safe Certified priority.
Job Type: Part-time Pay: From $22.00 per hour
Expected hours: 15.0 – 40.0 per week
