Requirements
Enthusiastic production associates who
- Overall Goal: Ship the highest number of carts at the lowest possible cost without damage or delays.
- Directly reports to the Logistics Manager.
- Organize, coordinate, and track all local, national and international shipments. This includes FTL, FCL, LTL and pallet shipments.
- Tender inbound and outbound shipments to carriers with overall management of timeline sensitivity, customer requirements and cost.
- Maintain strong relationships with preferred carriers, negotiate and address issues, concerns and conflicts as they arise (ex. damaged product claims, etc.)
- Clearly communicate with customers, suppliers, and internal staff with a customer-oriented approach.
- Maintain daily up-to-date logs and detailed records associated with inbound and outbound freight commitments, quotes, POD, etc.
- Coordinate with Production Team Leads to facilitate and execute the Plant production schedule - specifically shipping and receiving product in timely manner to maintaining flow of operations (ie. traffic control).
- Provide daily updates on order and shipment status.
- Prepare customs documentation and coordinate customs clearance activities in compliance with applicable regulations and company requirements.
- Prepare and assist in the creation of shipping-related documentation to ensure accurate and timely processing of shipments.
- Provide timely order status updates to customers through phone calls,
email and customer portals, maintaining a high standard of customer service.
- Communicate and coordinate with customers to ensure cost efficiency and scheduling deadlines are met.
- Organize and coordinate shipping schedules, proactively communicating any changes, delays or updates to customers and relevant internal stakeholders.
- Maintain accurate daily shipping records in the logistics log and ensure the quotes log is updated promptly and accurately.
- Perform other logistics and administrative duties as assigned to support the efficient operation of the business.

- Secondary School Completion or GDE equivalent or related skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office – Outlook, Excel, Word.
Health and Safety Responsibilities
- Adhere to and support the secure operating procedures for all assigned duties.
- Wear all required personal protective equipment (PPE) including hearing protection,
eye protection, CSA approved footwear and other safety equipment as required by Management.
- Report any safety concerns immediately to the Team Leader / Plant Leader.
Continuous Improvements
- Improve technical proficiency by participating in training and development activities.
- Participate with team members in continuous improvement projects and suggestions.

Working Conditions
- Office setting with controlled air make up environment.
- Does spend some time in a manufacturing setting that is subject to temperature differences.
- Hazards that might be found within the workplace include equipment/machinery with electricity, moving parts, hot solutions, inadequate ventilation, or other substances, lifting, pinching, cuts, repetitive motions, noxious fumes, sharpened instruments, or tools, toxic or corrosive substances.
Physical Demands / Efforts
- Typical office requirements to sit for prolonged periods of time in ergonomically designed chairs/desks.
- Hearing protection and Safety shoes will be required as needed.
WE ARE A TEAM - Given that the office environment at Cart Connection employs a small number of staff, at times the Logistics and Purchasing Coordinate be required to pick up and or assist with tasks not listed on the .
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.00-$23.00 per hour
