Role Description The Logistics Planner is a full-time, on-site role based in Georgetown, ON. This position is responsible for planning and coordinating daily freight movements, optimizing routes, and ensuring timely pickup and delivery of shipments.

Planner will manage load assignments, monitor driver and equipment availability, and adjust plans based on real-time conditions. The role includes communicating with drivers, customers, and internal teams to resolve issues, provide status updates, and maintain high service levels.

Planner will also analyze performance data, support continuous improvement initiatives, and help uphold safety, compliance, and operational standards.

Qualifications

- Candidates should possess strong Analytical Skills and Planning abilities to optimize routes, capacity, and schedules.
- Candidates should possess effective Communication and Customer Service skills to coordinate with drivers, clients, and internal stakeholders.
- Candidates should possess knowledge of Supply Chain Management and an understanding of transportation or logistics operations.
- Relevant experience in trucking, freight, or logistics planning, preferably in an asset-based environment.
- Proficiency with transportation management systems (TMS), routing tools, and standard office software.
- Solid organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven setting.
- Post-secondary education in logistics, supply chain, business, or a related field is an asset.
- Commitment to safety, regulatory compliance, and continuous operational improvement.
