Duties

- Safely operate large commercial trucks over long distances, adhering to all federal and state transportation regulations.
- Transport freight efficiently from origin to destination, ensuring timely deliveries and accurate documentation.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles, including checking brakes, lights, tires, and other critical systems to maintain optimal performance.
- Load and unload freight using forklifts or heavy equipment when necessary, ensuring proper handling and securing of cargo.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers, customers, and team members to coordinate schedules and resolve any delivery issues promptly.




- Maintain detailed logs of driving hours, mileage, fuel consumption, and vehicle maintenance records in compliance with regulatory standards.
- Perform basic automotive repairs or troubleshooting minor mechanical issues to minimize downtime during routes.

Experience

- Proven experience in commercial driving with a valid CDL (Commercial Driver’s License), preferably with long-haul or over-the-road experience.
- Demonstrated ability to operate heavy equipment such as forklifts or other loading machinery safely and efficiently.
- Knowledge of freight handling procedures and safety protocols related to transportation logistics.
- Familiarity with vehicle maintenance basics and automotive repair techniques is a strong plus.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage time effectively across multiple routes.
- Excellent communication skills for coordinating with dispatchers, clients, and team members throughout your journey.
