Are you a safe, confident driver with a full Class 5 BC Drivers Licence who genuinely enjoys meeting people? The Lower Lonsdale BIA is looking for friendly, reliable drivers to operate the Lonsdale StreetCart this fall. You'll provide free neighbourhood rides, welcome locals and visitors, and help people discover what the area has to offer.

Schedule

StreetCart service operates Wednesday through Saturday from 12:00 to 6:00 p.m. Applicants must be available for shifts during these hours and able to work weekend shifts. Exact hours depend on staffing.

Responsibilities

- Safely operate the StreetCart on short trips throughout Lower Lonsdale.
- Create a friendly, comfortable experience for every passenger.
- Share helpful information about local businesses, attractions, events and transportation.
- Communicate safety expectations in a clear, confident and qualified way.
- Keep the StreetCart ready for service and record basic ridership information.

Qualifications

- Experienced, safety-minded driver with sound judgment.




- Full Class 5 BC Driver's Licence and a satisfactory driving record.
- Warm, outgoing personality and strong public communication skills.
- Reliable, punctual and available for weekend shifts.
- Able to lift and carry up to 50 lb.
- Knowledge of Lower Lonsdale and North Vancouver is an asset.

Fall and Winter Vehicle The new NZEV StreetCart is fully enclosed, weather-ready and equipped with full doors to help keep drivers and passengers comfortable and dry.
