About Us:

Bretoba Property Management is responsible for the operation of Bretoba's workforce accommodations and meal services. This team provides clean, comfortable housing, quality meals, and well-maintained facilities that support our employees and subcontractors. Supporting our projects is a dedicated operations team responsible for maintaining Bretoba's buildings, workforce accommodations, equipment, and other company assets.

As we continue to grow, we are expanding our maintenance services and are looking for a dependable Maintenance Handyperson to join our team.

The Maintenance / Handyperson is responsible for completing a wide variety of maintenance, repair, and improvement projects across Bretoba's facilities, workforce accommodations, equipment, and client properties. This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys variety, takes pride in quality workmanship, and is capable of working independently.

No two days will be the same. One day may involve preparing rooms in our workforce accommodations, while the next could include repairing siding, installing fixtures, completing paint touch-ups, assembling furniture, or responding to a client maintenance request.

Key Responsibilities:

- Complete general repairs and maintenance across Bretoba's offices, workforce accommodations, shops, company properties, and client properties.
- Perform interior and exterior repairs, including painting, drywall, trim, siding, doors, hardware, flooring, and other building finishes.
- Install and replace fixtures, lighting, shelving, cabinetry, appliances, and other building components.
- Complete routine preventative maintenance and seasonal upkeep.
- Support room turnovers and facility readiness by completing maintenance items identified during inspections.
- May move heavy furniture, equipment and supplies




- Respond to maintenance requests in a timely, professional, and customer-focused manner.
- Ensure that security and safety measures are in place.
- Assist with the setup, repair, and maintenance of Bretoba equipment, tools, and facilities.
- Maintain an organized work vehicle, tools, and materials.
- Ensure inventory of supplies and equipment is maintained.
- Identify repairs that require specialized trades and communicate them to the appropriate team.
- Support the continued growth of Bretoba Property Management services by completing assigned maintenance work for clients.
- Material take offs, ensure all required materials are ready before job is scheduled to begin.
- Perform other operational support duties as required.

Qualifications:

- Experience in general building maintenance, carpentry, renovations, or a related construction field.
- Strong working knowledge of residential and commercial building systems and finishes.
- Ability to complete a wide variety of maintenance and repair tasks independently.
- Comfortable using a variety of hand and power tools.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record, provide a driver’s abstract.
- Reliable, self-motivated, and committed to producing quality work.

Wage & Hours:

- Hours: 50–55 hours per week
- Wage: $30 - 36 / hour, depending on experience.
- Job is full-time, permanent, year-round (non-seasonal). Must be willing to relocate.
