Join the Alberta Biodiversity Monitoring Institute (ABMI) as a Mammal Monitoring Ecologist with the flexibility of remote and in-office work. You'll lead innovative research on wildlife and biodiversity across Alberta. This role within ABMI's Science Centre will focus on developing and implementing mammal monitoring and remote camera-based analysis programs.

You will collaborate with diverse stakeholders including academic institutions, government agencies, Indigenous communities, and environmental NGOs. Your expertise will drive species modeling and the development of analytical tools to track biodiversity changes in Alberta. Key Responsibilities:

- Lead mammal monitoring programs across Alberta
- Develop remote camera-based biodiversity analysis tools




- Conduct applied research in collaboration with partners
- Model species distributions and behaviors
- Analyze data to inform biodiversity strategies Requirements:
- Experience in applied ecology or related field
- Solid analytical and research skills
- Knowledge of biodiversity monitoring techniques
- Ability to collaborate with various stakeholders
- Flexibility to work remotely or in Edmonton/Calgary Utilize your ecological expertise to influence conservation strategies and advance biodiversity research at ABMI.
