The Opportunity
We're seeking a dedicated Mathematics Learning Specialist to join our North York faculty. Whether you're an Ontario Certified Teacher, a Teacher Candidate, or an education professional with strong math expertise, this role offers the autonomy to teach and the support to thrive. Work with motivated learners in an setting designed for educator success.
What You'll Deliver
- Comprehensive Math Instruction: Teach the full mathematics spectrum—from elementary number sense and mental strategies through algebra, geometry, trigonometry, and advanced calculus
- Targeted Small-Group Work: Lead sessions with individual students or small cohorts (typically 1–6), allowing deep personalization and responsive feedback
- Build Mathematical Thinking: Foster problem-solving skills, growth mindsets, and genuine confidence in learners who may have struggled with math previously
- Tech-Enhanced Learning: Use our modern classroom platform and digital resources to complement in-person instruction and create engaging learning experiences
- Continuous Progress Tracking: Assess student understanding regularly, document advancement, and provide feedback that drives measurable improvement
Who We're Looking For
- Mathematics Subject Expert: Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Education, Engineering, or related STEM field
- Multi-Level Teaching Experience:
Proven ability to teach or tutor mathematics across elementary, middle, and high school levels (Grades 3–12)
- Ontario Curriculum Knowledge: Solid understanding of provincial curriculum standards; depth in either elementary or secondary math (or both) valued
- Tech Integration Ready: Comfortable using digital tools to support in-person instruction; willing to learn our platform
- Commitment to Excellence: Available for consistent weekly hours (minimum 4 hours/week) with reliable, predictable scheduling
