Responsibilities

- Manage all aspects of the meat department, including inventory purchasing, pricing, merchandising, and product displays to maximize sales and profitability
- Supervise and train team members on product knowledge, customer service skills, POS (Point of Sale) systems, cash handling procedures, and safety protocols
- Oversee store management functions such as budgeting, payroll processing, scheduling, and ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations
- Develop effective marketing strategies to promote meat products and increase customer engagement through promotional events and in-store displays
- Maintain strong relationships with vendors through negotiation and purchasing to secure quality products at competitive prices
- Ensure accurate bookkeeping and administrative record-keeping for inventory levels, sales data, and payroll documentation
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing inquiries promptly, resolving issues efficiently,

Experience

- Proven supervising experience in a retail or grocery environment, preferably within meat or perishable goods departments
- Demonstrated success in retail sales management with strong leadership skills in team management and training & development
- Extensive knowledge of merchandising techniques, pricing strategies, POS systems, and store management operations
- Skilled in negotiation, purchasing, budgeting, bookkeeping, and administrative tasks with excellent organizational skills
- Bilingual or multilingual abilities are highly desirable to effectively communicate with diverse customer bases
- Strong communication skills paired with excellent phone etiquette and customer service orientation
- Ability to manage time effectively while handling multiple responsibilities such as cash handling, marketing initiatives, and staff supervision
