Join SYSTRA Canada as a Mechanical Engineer focusing on plumbing and drainage for LRT projects. This hybrid role involves significant engineering design and coordination tasks. As a Mechanical Engineer, you will support the Stops & TPSS scope of light rail transit projects.
With a solid background in plumbing, fire protection, and mechanical design, you'll prepare technical specifications and conduct essential calculations. The position demands collaboration with civil engineering for efficient drainage solutions across multiple stop locations. Key Responsibilities:
- Produce Plumbing and Fire Fighting Design Briefs
- Prepare plumbing and fire fighting calculations
- Define platform drains and pipe routing
- Issue schedule of locations and invert levels
- Review plumbing plans and coordinate handover points Requirements:
- University degree in Mechanical Engineering
- Minimum 10 years of mechanical design experience
- Qualified Engineer (P.Eng.) licensed or eligible in Ontario
- Knowledge of OBC, NFPA, and Ontario regulations
