Radius Recycling is looking for a Metals Inspector to help ensure incoming scrap materials meet quality, safety, and environmental standards. In this role, you'll work directly with truck drivers, equipment operators, and production teams while playing a critical role in keeping operations running safely and efficiently.

This is a great opportunity for candidates with experience in construction, manufacturing, logistics, warehousing, recycling, trucking, equipment operations, quality control, inspections, or other outdoor industrial environments.

What You'll Do

As a Metals Inspector, you'll help monitor and inspect incoming materials while supporting daily yard operations.

Key Responsibilities

- Inspect incoming scrap materials delivered by truck, rail, or other transportation methods
- Verify materials meet quality, environmental, and safety requirements
- Identify, grade, and document materials accurately
- Record inspection information, including weights, quantities, and material classifications
- Direct drivers and assist with traffic flow throughout the facility
- Communicate quality concerns to operations and leadership teams
- Work closely with commercial and production teams to ensure consistent material quality
- Support daily yard operations as needed
- Report equipment issues, safety concerns, and operational deficiencies
- Help maintain a safe, organized, and efficient work environment

What We're Looking For

Preferred Qualifications

- High School Diploma or GED
- Experience in an industrial, construction,



manufacturing, transportation, recycling, warehouse, or outdoor work environment
- Strong attention to detail and ability to identify differences in materials and products
- Ability to work independently and make sound decisions
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Basic computer and recordkeeping skills
- Commitment to workplace safety and environmental compliance

Work Setting

This is an active, hands-on position in a busy recycling facility.

- Work outdoors in all weather conditions
- Walk throughout the yard and on uneven surfaces
- Frequently lift and carry up to 50 pounds
- Regular interaction with drivers, operators, customers, and production employees
- Overtime may be required during peak production periods
