Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging and comprehensive math lessons tailored to middle school curriculum standards
- Foster an inclusive classroom setting that encourages participation and curiosity
- Assess student progress regularly through tests, quizzes, and projects, providing constructive feedback
- Adapt teaching strategies to meet diverse learning needs, including those requiring special education support
- Collaborate with colleagues and parents to support student achievement and address individual challenges
- Incorporate technology and hands-on activities to enhance understanding of mathematical concepts
- Maintain accurate records of student attendance, participation, and academic performance
Skills
- Proven experience in tutoring or teaching middle school-level math concepts effectively
- Classroom experience that demonstrates the ability to manage diverse student needs and behaviors
- Solid knowledge of mathematics principles relevant to middle school curricula
- Excellent communication skills to clearly explain complex ideas and foster positive relationships with students and parents
- Familiarity with special education strategies to support students with unique learning requirements
- Laboratory or practical experience that can be integrated into math instruction for experiential learning (optional but advantageous)
- Ability to adapt lessons based on student progress and feedback, ensuring an engaging learning environment
Pay: $17.60-$46.62 per hour
