Responsibilities

- Prepare and bake a variety of baked goods, including bread, pastries, and specialty items, following established recipes and quality standards
- Decorate cakes and desserts with precision, creativity, and attention to detail to enhance visual appeal
- Manage food preparation tasks efficiently to ensure timely availability of fresh products each morning
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bakery workspace in compliance with food safety regulations
- Package baked goods carefully for display or takeout orders, ensuring freshness and presentation quality




- Assist with inventory management by monitoring supplies and notifying management of stock needs
- Provide friendly customer service by answering questions about baked goods and offering recommendations when needed

Requirements

- Proven experience in baking, cake decorating, or food preparation within a bakery or restaurant setting
- Knowledge of food handling procedures and food safety standards to ensure hygienic practices
- Strong skills in cooking, baking, and food industry best practices
- Experience with kitchen equipment such as ovens, mixers, and decorating tools
- Excellent customer service skills with a positive attitude and professional demeanor
- Ability to stand for extended periods during early morning shifts and lift heavy ingredients or supplies as needed
- Certification or training in food safety is preferred but not mandatory; willingness to learn is essential
