Department: Allied Rehab Services Supporting the recommendations made by supervising SLP regarding speech, language, and swallowing programming, screening, strategies, resources, and modifications for the patient and their families. Following established screening protocols, documenting responses accurately without interpretation beyond pass/fail and determining if the patient requires further assessment. Developing patient centered therapy materials.

Providing evidence-based therapy intervention. Evaluating the effectiveness of the intervention response and progress toward patient centered goals.

QUALIFICATIONS Certification/Experience/Knowledge:

- Communication Disorders Assistant Diploma or other relevant courses
- 1-2 years of experiences with adults is preferred; but new grads are welcome to apply
- Member of Communicative Disorders Assistant Association of Canada preferred;
- Current B.C.L.S. certificate required;
- Preference will be given to candidates with recent experience in stroke and neuro rehabilitation Skills/Abilities:
- Ability to work in a multi-disciplinary team environment required;
- Strong case management skills and ability to work in a high-paced environment;
- Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills required;
- Excellent oral and written communication skills required;
- Computer competency required;




- Must demonstrate commitment to ensure your safety, the safety of fellow workers, patients, volunteers, and visitors;
- Must support and contribute to a culture of safety and prevention of adverse health events in this organization;
- Bilingualism (Advanced level English/French) is an asset. All unilingual candidates are encouraged to apply and may be considered if the identified French requirement has been met or there are no successful bilingual candidates. A formal French test will be conducted to evaluate the proficiency level.
