Emergency Medical Professional Needed for Leading Workplace Safety Team—Join Us as an Onsite Paramedic/RPN!

Duration : 12 Months
Type : Independent Contractor
Working Hours Training Schedule: Monday-Friday 8am-4:30pm
Shift Schedule: After 2 weeks of training: 7:00am-5:30pm Wednesday to Saturday
Pay Rate: $25- 27/ hr
Core Responsibilities
- Provide immediate first aid support to facility associates and make referrals to outside medical providers as necessary.
- Assess injuries and health concerns independently, delivering appropriate treatment or intervention.
- Coordinate and maintain workers’ compensation and return-to-work programs for injured associates.
- Record all medical care provided accurately in digital recordkeeping systems.
- Participate in safety training, certifications, and ongoing education (including CPR, AED,
and first aid updates).
- Assist in emergency response and support safety protocols during incidents.
- Engage with associates and leadership to promote health, wellness, and safe work practices.
- Support injury prevention initiatives through education and safety coaching.
- Maintain a clean and stocked medical environment, including inventory management of supplies.
- Work flexible shifts, including days, nights, holidays, and weekends, as required.
Key Skills And Qualifications
- Valid RPN (Registered Practical Nurse) or Paramedic certification
- Proven experience in emergency medical response, ideally in industrial or large-scale logistics settings
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification by an approved provider
- Certification to teach first aid, CPR, AED training from the American Heart Association or Red Cross
- Ability to independently assess, administer first aid, and refer to outside medical providers
- Excellent communication skills and customer service orientation
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods, lift up to 49 pounds, and perform physical tasks such as bending, squatting, and reaching
- Comfort working in environments with variable noise levels and weather conditions
- Flexibility to work day, night, holiday, and weekend shifts as needed
- Digital recordkeeping proficiency and familiarity with OSHA regulations and workers' compensation protocols
Nice To Have Skills
- Experience with industrial wellness programs and ergonomic coaching
- Familiarity working with OSHA standards and acute injury management
Preferred Education And Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Prior experience as an emergency responder or healthcare provider in a fast-paced environment
- Active CPR, AED, and first aid certifications
