Responsibilities:
Reporting to the Operations Manager, our Operations Team is looking for a highly motivated initiative-taker capable of thinking on their feet.
The ideal teammate would exhibit a strong mechanical ability, operate with a safety first and innovative mindset.
Qualifications:
· Grade 12 diploma with preference given to someone with relevant trade experience.
· Fourth class power engineering ticket considered an asset.
· Forklift experience considered an asset.
· A valid Class 5 Driver’s license.
· Experience in a safety sensitive industrial setting considered an asset.
· Strong mechanical aptitude.
· Good communication skills.
· Exceptional time management, planning, and prioritization skills.
· Basic working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
· Ability to manage competing priorities and adapt to a changing work environment.
· Ability to work both independently and in a team setting.
This position requires candidates to:
· Display a strong mechanical aptitude, and be able to identify equipment malfunctions, repair systems, and troubleshooting quality issues.
· Perform routine rounds, minor maintenance, and operate in dusty environments.
· Be able to work independently or in a team.
· Work 12-hour rotating shifts and be willing to work overtime when necessary.
· Operate in an industrial setting with a safety-sensitive mindset.
· Display good communication, exceptional time management, planning, and prioritization skills.
· Utilize Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
· Perform housekeeping and cleanup duties.
· Display safety for self, team, and protect the public as well as company/public property.
