This position is based in Ingersoll, ON and is temporary for 3 months.

Job Duties:

- Fully proficient in interpreting cable plan or job specifications to execute all work assigned safely and in accordance with Superfibre‘s health and safety policy.
- Install and maintain aerial fibre cables using bucket trucks, ladders, and climbing gear.
- Perform strand mapping, lashing, and tensioning of aerial cables while adhering to utility standards.
- Identify and resolve issues with aerial infrastructure, including poles, anchors, and guy wires.
- Supervise and provide guidance to crews and oversee crews on a full-time regular basis.
- Review all work orders and project documentation to ensure thorough preparation for the installation of telecommunications infrastructure.
- Analyze drawings to determine installation methods, necessary tools, and equipment.
- Collaborate with crew members and project management office members to assess equipment requirements and ensure timely procurement and transportation of materials to project sites.
- Brief crews on the project plan, outlining the sequence of job procedures.
- Conduct training sessions and provide hands-on assistance to ensure work is performed safely and efficiently.
- Initiate utility locates requests for each project.
- Manage project billing accurately and efficiently.
- Complete daily tailgate, safety,



and risk assessment documents with precision.
- Ensure compliance with company health and safety policies during all work activities.
- Act as a point of contact for client representatives, the public, and operations management to address and resolve issues promptly.
- Adhere to project specifications and drawings throughout the installation process.
- Provide support during emergency situations outside of regular business hours.
- Maintain vehicles assigned to crews in optimal condition and ensure compliance with CVOR requirements.
- Fulfill any additional duties as assigned to achieve company objectives.

Requirements:

- Minimum 1 year of hands-on experience as an aerial lineman
- Minimum 1 year of hands-on experience working with aerial devices
- Solid knowledge of outside plant (OSP) telecommunications network infrastructure, including aerial, buried, and underground applications
- Able to operate vehicle-mounted aerial device equipment
- Able to operate a line truck, and climb of poles with spurs or ladder
- Possession of a valid driver's licence with clean abstract (A/RZ preferred)
- Excellent communication skills and some leadership skills
- Is organized, safety oriented and a self-starter
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
- Capability to work outdoors in all types of weather conditions
