Bona Market & Cafe is currently seeking an experienced Barista with flexible hours to join our team! The role will fulfill barista duties in the café area, as well as be required to support other general duties of store operation, including the market area.

*must be available weekends and weekdays for various morning & closing shifts

Responsibilities:

- Provides exceptional customer service to all guests, greeting and responding to questions or requests
- Prepares and serve drinks on the café menu
- Serves prepared food, such as pastries as well as heat up any grab and go foods
- Processes transactions using point-of-sale (POS) system, cash transactions and other cashier duties
- Keeps all counters, customer tables and working areas clean
- Implements and follows all store policies and procedures, including all food safety and health procedures
- Communicates customer feedback to managers, recommends recent menu items, and assists with menu design
- Responsible for maintaining all inventory of café stock, such as milks, straws, cups etc. Notifies Manager immediately of any needs to replenish stock.
- Performs store opening and closing duties




- Assists in the market area, including tasks such as stocking inventory, receiving duties, packing customer orders and other related tasks as needed
- Performs all other related duties as assigned by Store Manager, including helping with social media and other promotions

Qualifications:

- At least 1 year experience preparing coffee using an espresso machine
- At least 1 year experience preparing and serving food in a fast-paced environment

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds and stand for an extended period of time
- Ability to prepare and serve food/drinks in accordance with Food Safe guidelines
- Ability to demonstrate exceptional customer service
- Knowledge of food safety regulations or having Food Safe certification
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Excellent interpersonal and team work skills

Job Type: Part-time Pay: From $18.25 per hour
