Job Overview

We are looking for a reliable and proactive handyman to join our team on a permanent, part time basis at our downtown Vancouver strata. You will work directly for our strata corporation, and the position is overseen by existing staff out of our Operations office. Your role here is to help maintain our residential complex, including all common areas and amenities (lagoon, swimming pool, hot tub, gym, etc.)

The ideal candidate will be comfortable handling general maintenance, minor repairs, inspections, and upkeep to ensure the property remains safe, clean, functional, and well-maintained for residents.

Responsibilities

- Perform general repairs and maintenance around buildings and properties
- Perform basic plumbing repairs such as unclogging a sink, fixing a running toilet, and similar
- Carry out minor electrical task such as replacing light bulbs and trouble shooting fixtures
- Repair drywall, walls and ceilings
- Paint walls, doors, trim, and other surfaces
- Inspect properties to identify maintenance issues and safety hazards
- Respond to maintenance requests and complete work within scheduled deadlines




- Keep work areas clean and dispose of debris properly
- Use hand and power tools safely and correctly and ensure strata corporation property is secured
- Communicate with property owners, tenants, concierge and managers about repairs and maintenance needs
- Keep records of completed work, materials used, and maintenance issues
- Other tasks as needed and directed by building management, including but not limited to: cleaning and removal of wildlife droppings, application of snow melt or snow removal in an emergency, pressure washing, and similar

Pay: $21.00-$23.00 per hour
