About Pentalift

Pentalift Equipment Corporation manufactures loading dock equipment and material handling product. We are looking for an experienced, practical maintenance professional who can help us keep our manufacturing equipment reliable, secure and productive. We are seeking an experienced part-time Maintenance Mechanic to support our manufacturing facility in Puslinch, Ontario.

This is a hands-on position responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting and repairing manufacturing equipment and facility systems. The role may be particularly well suited to an experienced maintenance mechanic, millwright or industrial maintenance professional looking for flexible part-time hours.

Responsibilities

- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical problems with manufacturing equipment
- Perform preventative maintenance on machinery and equipment
- Maintain and repair hydraulic and pneumatic systems
- Diagnose bearings, chains, sprockets, gearboxes, motors, pumps and related mechanical components
- Perform basic electrical troubleshooting where qualified and appropriate
- Maintain welding and metal fabrication equipment
- Service and repair saws, presses, machine tools and other production equipment
- Assist with maintenance of overhead cranes and material handling equipment
- Perform minor building and facility repairs
- Identify potential equipment problems before they result in downtime
- Coordinate with outside contractors when specialized service is required




- Maintain appropriate maintenance and repair records
- Assist with spare-parts identification and inventory

Qualifications
- Previous industrial or manufacturing maintenance experience
- Strong mechanical troubleshooting and repair skills
- Experience with hydraulic and pneumatic equipment
- Familiarity with electrical, welding and fabrication equipment is an asset
- Millwright experience or Industrial Mechanic (Millwright) 433A certification is an asset, but not necessarily required
- Ability to work independently and prioritize maintenance requirements
- Comfortable working in an active manufacturing environment
- Strong commitment to safe work practices

Hours Approximately 12–20 hours per week.

We are open to discussing a work schedule that suits both the successful candidate and Pentalift’s production requirements. Daytime weekday availability is preferred.
