Overview

We are seeking motivated Part Time Yard Attendants to join our team! In this energetic role, you will be responsible for Firewood Toting, Firewood Stacking, toting of all other landscape products, maintaining a secure, organized, and efficient yard environment. Your hands-on approach will help ensure smooth operations, proper handling of materials, and safe operation of equipment.

This position offers a fantastic opportunity to develop your skills in an outdoor work environment, working on a team and getting some excercise too!

Responsibilities

- Assist with loading and unloading landscape products.
- Ensure the yard is clean, organized, and free of hazards to promote safety for all team members and visitors
- Operate yard equipment following safety protocols
- Support shipping and receiving activities by verifying inbound and outbound shipments and maintaining accurate logs
- Load and unload materials efficiently, ensuring proper placement for easy access and inventory management




- Maintain accurate records using warehouse management systems (WMS) to track inventory movements
- Conduct routine inspections of equipment and yard conditions to identify maintenance needs or safety concerns

Skills
- Previous experience in warehouse or yard operations preferred
- Ability to operate forklifts, machines an asset
- Experience with order picking, shipping & receiving processes, and load/unload procedures with physical labour.
- Construction experience or familiarity with heavy lifting techniques is a plus
- Strong organizational skills with attention to safety standards and detail-oriented work ethic
