The Opportunity Dilawri
Group in Ontario is activelyseeking a Parts Manager to join the opening team at Kia Vaughan.
Total Compensation: $60,000–$100,000annually, inclusive of salary and performance-based bonus. Reporting to the General Manager, the Parts Managerwill be responsible for establishing and leading an efficient, profitable, andcustomer-focused Parts Department. The successful candidate will overseedepartmental operations, inventory control, financial performance, employeedevelopment, and relationships with customers, vendors, and the manufacturer.
Responsibilities - Leadall aspects of the dealership’s Parts Department, including staffing,scheduling, training, performance,
and day-to-day operations.
- Helpestablish the department’s systems, procedures, workflows, and servicestandards in preparation for the dealership’s opening.
- Recruit,train, coach, and motivate a knowledgeable and customer-focused partsteam.
- Fostera positive, accountable, and collaborative work environment.
- Overseethe ordering, receiving, storage, distribution, and return of parts.
- Maintainappropriate inventory levels while minimizing obsolescence, shortages, andunnecessary carrying costs.
- Conductregular bin checks, inventory reviews, and audits to ensure records arecomplete and accurate.
- Ensureavailable storage space is organized, secure, and used effectively.
- Provideexceptional service to internal departments, retail customers, andwholesale customers.
- Assistcustomers and dealership teams in identifying and sourcing the correctparts.
- Respondto customer inquiries and resolve concerns promptly and professionally.
- Maintainstrong customer satisfaction results and support overall dealershipperformance.
- Establishand maintain productive relationships with vendors, suppliers, andmanufacturer representatives.
- Negotiatepricing and terms where appropriate to support departmental profitability.
- Monitordepartmental performance against established financial and operationaltargets.
- Maintainappropriate expense controls and identify opportunities to increaserevenue and profitability.
- Prepareaccurate and timely reports regarding inventory, sales, expenses, andoverall departmental performance.
- Stayinformed about automotive industry developments,
manufacturer programs,and new products.
- Ensurecompliance with manufacturer requirements, company policies, and allapplicable legislation.
Qualifications - Minimumof three years of automotive parts management experience within a dealership environment.
- Previousexperience as a Parts Advisor, Parts Counterperson, or Inventory Clerk isconsidered an asset.
- Strongknowledge of automotive parts, inventory management, and dealershipoperations.
- Demonstratedleadership, coaching, and team-development abilities.
- Strongbusiness acumen with experience managing departmental budgets, expenses,and profitability.
- Excellentcustomer service, communication, and relationship-building skills.
- Strongorganizational, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
- Highlevel of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Abilityto establish effective systems and processes in a new dealershipenvironment.
- Abilityto perform effectively in a fast-paced and evolving workplace.
- Experienceworking with an automotive manufacturer or OEM is considered an asset.
