We are looking for MATERNITY LEAVE COVERAGE for an existing caseload. We are looking for another SLP to join our supportive interdisciplinary team in our flexible work space. The position can be for a year contract (mat leave) or longer-term, we have options!

We Play Kids is a pediatric therapy centre with an inter-disciplinary team of pediatric Occupational Therapists, Physiotherapists, and Speech-Language Pathologists. Our mission is to support the development and well-being of children and families through collaborative and research supported strategies, using a playful approach to therapy. Our vision is for ALL CHILDREN (of various abilities and neurodiversity’s) to thrive at home and in their communities.

We Play Kids is looking for Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our inter-disciplinary team of OTs, PT's and SLP's. We have a varied caseload and provide services to infants, toddlers, pre-school and school-age children. Mentorship and support are available!

Responsibilities and Duties

- To work collaboratively in an inter-disciplinary team
- Assess strengths and needs of children through formal and informal evaluation
- Work with the client and family to assess strengths and needs, to develop individualized therapy goals for each child
- Utilize research-based practice
- Excellent communication skills to effectively communicate with the child and family, as well as the inter-disciplinary team
- Excellent report writing skills




- A passion for working with children with developmental and communication needs
- Supervising SLP-A/CHA plans (portion of the caseload)

Qualifications and Skills

- Master’s degree in Speech and Language Pathology from accredited University
- Experience working in pediatrics, will accept new graduate applications

- RASP list qualification ideal, though will consider all SLP qualified applicants
- Member of CHCPBC
- Professional liability insurance
