Akshar Academy is seeking a qualified Pharmacy Assistant Instructor to provide classroom and practical/laboratory instruction for our Pharmacy Assistant program.

Instructor Qualifications – Required

Applicants must meet the instructor qualifications specified for the program:

- Must be a Pharmacist OR hold Ontario College of Pharmacists (OCP) certification/registration as a Pharmacy Technician.
- Must have a minimum of three (3) years of current, relevant work experience in a Canadian pharmacy setting.
- Must meet the applicable instructor requirements under Ontario's career college legislation and regulations.

Responsibilities The successful candidate will:
- Deliver pharmacy-specific theoretical and practical instruction according to the approved curriculum.
- Teach topics such as pharmacy terminology, pharmacy calculations, prescription processing, drug classifications, pharmacy operations, inventory management, and applicable legislation.
- Demonstrate pharmacy procedures and supervise practical/laboratory activities.
- Prepare and deliver lessons, assignments, quizzes, examinations, and practical assessments.




- Evaluate student performance and provide appropriate feedback and academic support.
- Maintain accurate attendance, grades, assessments, and student progress records.
- Ensure that course content and instructional hours are delivered according to the approved program schedule.
- Maintain a professional, protected, and supportive classroom and laboratory environment.
- Follow Akshar Academy's academic policies and applicable regulatory requirements.

Preferred Qualifications Previous teaching, training, mentoring, or supervisory experience is an asset. Candidates should have strong communication, presentation, organizational, and interpersonal skills and be comfortable providing both theoretical and hands-on instruction.
