Responsibilities

- Collect blood specimens from patients using proper techniques and safety protocols, ensuring comfort and minimizing discomfort.
- Verify patient identities and accurately label specimens to maintain specimen integrity.
- Prepare collection areas and equipment, maintaining cleanliness and adherence to infection control standards.
- Provide excellent patient care by explaining procedures clearly, answering questions, and addressing concerns with empathy.
- Document collection details meticulously in electronic health records or paper logs, following laboratory policies.
- Assist with processing specimens for transportation to the laboratory,



ensuring timely delivery for testing.
- Follow all safety guidelines and medical terminology protocols to uphold compliance and quality standards.

Experience

- Prior hospital experience or experience working in a clinical laboratory setting is highly preferred.
- Demonstrated proficiency in phlebotomy techniques with a strong understanding of venipuncture procedures.
- Experience providing compassionate patient care, especially with anxious or pediatric patients.
- Knowledge of medical terminology relevant to laboratory testing and healthcare environments.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail and accuracy.
