Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Physiotherapist role located in Ottawa, ON. The Physiotherapist will assess patients, develop individualized treatment plans, and provide manual therapy, therapeutic exercise, and education to address musculoskeletal, neurological, and other physical impairments. Daily responsibilities include documenting assessments and progress notes, monitoring patient outcomes, and adjusting interventions as needed.
The role involves collaborating with other healthcare professionals, guiding patients through rehabilitative programs, and promoting injury prevention and wellness. The Physiotherapist is also expected to participate in ongoing professional development and contribute to a positive, inclusive clinical environment.
Qualifications
- Clinical assessment and treatment planning skills, including patient history-taking, physical examinations, and development of evidence-based rehabilitation programs.
- Proficiency in therapeutic techniques such as manual therapy, exercise prescription, modalities, and patient education for a variety of conditions.
- Robust documentation and organizational skills, including accurate clinical charting, time management, and follow-up on patient care plans.
- Communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with patients, families, and interprofessional healthcare teams in a respectful and inclusive manner.
- Ability to maintain professional boundaries, uphold ethical standards, and ensure patient safety and confidentiality.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Physiotherapy (or equivalent) from an accredited institution.
- Current licensure or eligibility for licensure as a Physiotherapist in Ontario, in good standing with the relevant regulatory body.
- Experience in outpatient or orthopedic physical therapy settings is an asset.
- Commitment to ongoing professional development, quality improvement, and culturally sensitive care.
