WorkSafeNB is seeking to fill a 14-month temporary assignment of Physiotherapist or Occupational Therapist, Stay at Work Support. Reporting to the Manager, Stay at Work Services, the Physiotherapist or Occupational Therapist, Stay at Work Support will perform two main areas of service:

Stay at Work Support Service: The clinician enables a worker to recover and stay at work using a stepped care approach. They provide recommendations related to necessary at-work plans, job duty modifications, and appropriate rehabilitation services to achieve a full return to work.

Early Intervention Service: The clinician provides workers identified at risk for prolonged work disability clinical assessment & analysis and implements individualized clinical intervention to address barriers to recovery and facilitate the transition to early return to work with the Case Manager.

Salary and Hours of Work:

- Hours of work are those required to perform the assigned tasks but shall not be less than 35 hours per week.
- Pay Scale: $82,971.90 to $97,614.00 annually

- A master’s degree, or an equivalent, in Occupational Therapy or Physiotherapy from a recognized accredited university.
Member in good standing (or eligible for membership) of the relevant licensing body, such as the Canadian Association of Occupational Therapists and the New Brunswick Association of Occupational Therapists, or the Canadian Physiotherapy Association and the College of Physiotherapists of New Brunswick.

- Stay at Work Support to enable stay work recovery - The clinician completes an initial clinical assessment (file review, questions, and analysis of findings to identify the clinical barriers) and identifies step care approach for injured worker to provide clinical intervention, and recommendations to direct at-work recovery plan.
- Clinical intervention for at risk workers of prolonged disability - Clinicians will identify barriers and facilitate clinical interventions to support recovery and enable safe modified and/or alternate work duties and progress towards early return to work plan.
- Education clients, employers, and health care providers. - To align injured workers, employers, and service providers regarding at work recovery and early re-integration to the workplace.
- Equipment and clinical services recommendations and authorization for claims. - Responsible to identify, authorize, initiate, and/or implement, appropriate and effective clinical services and equipment for injured workers, to support at work recovery and/or early return to work goals and plans.
