Position: Prenatal/Family Support Facilitator.

Location: Neighborhood of Friends Family Resource Center Inc., Clarenville

Job Type: Full-time (35 hours weekly)

Duties: Provide support and encouragement for pregnant women/recent mothers. Work with a team to implement a nutrition program. Visit clientele to provide education on lifestyle issues. Plan and facilitate group activities; maintain records and statistics, promote the Healthy Baby Club among professionals and communities; and attend meetings and training as required. This position will also require the successful candidate to facilitate play-based programming.

Qualifications: Completion of high school with some post-secondary education preferred;

experience with facilitation group activities will be considered assets,



excellent written, organizational and oral communication skills; must be a friendly, approachable person with knowledge of child-birth; be supportive of breast feeding and good prenatal nutrition. Be comfortable discussing and supporting individuals in their life choices. Candidates must be able to work a flexible work schedule, possess a valid driver’s license and have access to a private vehicle.

A certificate of conduct will be required.

Salary: $17.00/hr for first three months, increasing to $19.25/hr
