Standard Product Sales Representative
Location: Edmonton, Alberta, Canada
Employment Type: Full-time A construction and infrastructure organization is seeking a Standard Product Sales Representative to support sales growth and customer relationships across the greater Edmonton area. The role serves as a primary point of contact for customer accounts, providing product guidance, quotations, order support, and solutions tailored to construction and project requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive sales growth through responsive customer service, technical expertise, and timely quotations.
- Build and maintain solid relationships with assigned customer accounts.
- Manage orders from quotation and order entry through delivery and project completion.
- Support inventory and rental program performance based on customer and operational requirements.
- Collaborate with production, engineering, detailing, and other internal teams to ensure projects are delivered on schedule and according to customer expectations.
- Review construction drawings and project requirements to recommend appropriate products and solutions.
- Maintain accurate account records, documentation, and reports to support operational efficiency and compliance.
- Contribute to the development and expansion of standard product offerings based on evolving market needs.
- Monitor project progress and coordinate resources to align work with purchase orders and project objectives.
- Promote and follow applicable health, safety, and environmental policies and procedures.
Qualifications
- Technical Diploma in Construction/CET or Business Administration Diploma.
- P. Tech. or CET designation preferred.
- Approximately 3 years of experience in sales, estimating, construction, or manufacturing.
- Class 5 Driver’s License.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Google Workspace.
- Experience with Salesforce and SAP preferred.
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings.
- Knowledge of construction practices, including electrical, mechanical, and structural disciplines, is an asset.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, organization, and planning skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Collaborative approach with a positive, customer-focused attitude.
Additional Requirements The position requires adherence to established safety protocols and appropriate personal protective equipment requirements. Where respirator use is required, employees must meet applicable fit-testing requirements. Pre-employment requirements may include a medical assessment, drug and alcohol testing, and a criminal record check.
