Lead Hand / Machine Operator – Meat Processing Plant

We are looking for an experienced, hardworking Lead Hand / Machine Operator to join our meat processing operation.

The ideal candidate has previous experience working in a meat processing or food manufacturing plant, is mechanically inclined, comfortable operating production equipment, and is willing to work hands-on with the team.

Responsibilities:

- Operate, set up, adjust, and monitor meat processing and packaging equipment
- Lead and assist production employees to keep the line running efficiently
- Troubleshoot minor machine and equipment issues
- Perform changeovers, basic adjustments, and assist with preventative maintenance
- Monitor production output, product quality, and employee performance
- Ensure production targets and daily schedules are met
- Follow food safety, HACCP, CFIA, sanitation, and workplace safety procedures
- Communicate equipment or production issues to management and maintenance
- Help train and supervise production employees
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe production area




- Be willing to perform hands-on production work whenever required

Requirements:

- Previous experience in a meat processing plant is strongly preferred
- Experience operating industrial food processing, packaging, cutting, portioning, or similar machinery
- Mechanically inclined and comfortable troubleshooting equipment
- Previous Lead Hand, Supervisor, or senior machine operator experience is an asset
- Strong work ethic and willing to work hard in a fast-paced environment
- Reliable, punctual, and responsible
- Able to work in refrigerated/cold environments
- Able to lift and perform physical production work when required
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Flexible with working hours and overtime when required

Location: Scarborough, Ontario

Pay: $20.00-$30.00 per hour
